YAKU is a London-based design studio founded by St Albans-born British-Caribbean designer Yaku Stapleton and partner Nas Kuzmich. 

Balancing functional streetwear with a fascination for fantasy, folklore and natural history, the studio builds character-led worlds that explore identity, memory and lineage through an Afrofuturist lens.

Rooted in menswear, YAKU's practice extends into performance, sculpture, set design and digital storytelling, working with a wider community of makers and performers to bring its stories to life. At its core, YAKU encourages self-reflection, constant evolution and the freedom to imagine beyond the limits of everyday life.
